1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Choose Your Own Camino website and services.

By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Nature of Services

Choose Your Own Camino provides:

  • Personalised Camino itinerary planning

  • Accommodation booking services

  • General guidance and support for pilgrims planning and walking the Camino de Santiago

We act as an independent travel planner and booking agent, not as a tour operator.

We do not own, control, or operate accommodation providers or third-party services.

3. Booking Services

Where requested, we will:

  • Research and recommend suitable accommodation

  • Make bookings on your behalf with third-party providers

All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant provider (e.g. hotels, guesthouses).

You agree that:

  • Final responsibility for reviewing booking details rests with you

  • Any issues with accommodation are ultimately governed by the provider’s policies

4. Fees and Payments

Our fees may include:

  • A service fee for itinerary design

  • A commission or percentage-based fee applied to accommodation bookings

All fees will be clearly communicated prior to confirmation.

Payments are currently arranged off-platform and must be completed as agreed before services or bookings are finalised.

5. Cancellations and Changes

a) By You:

  • Cancellation or modification requests must be submitted in writing

  • Refund eligibility depends on:

    • The timing of the cancellation

    • The policies of third-party providers

    • Work already completed by us

Service fees may be non-refundable once work has commenced.

b) By Third Parties:

Accommodation providers may cancel or modify bookings. We are not responsible for such changes but will assist in finding alternatives where possible.

6. Travel Responsibility

You acknowledge that:

  • Walking the Camino is a physically demanding activity

  • You are responsible for assessing your own fitness, health, and preparedness

  • You undertake your Camino de Santiago pilgrimage at your own risk

We provide guidance only and do not guarantee outcomes, safety, or suitability.
